India Renshaw is a British designer based in London. After graduating an art foundation at Kingston University, she completed her degree at Northumbria University studying 3D design. During her studies, she acquired the practical skills to materialise her ideas. Using craft as a place to explore her interest surrounding women’s visibility within design and society.

During her final year she created The Encircled Collection, a series of objects reimagining female empowerment in design. Her work blurs the line between form and function, offering an alternative approach to the traditional narratives within the industry.

India has worked across various mediums, including lighting, product and furniture design. Using these methods to celebrate female narratives and stories. In the hope of creating spaces that authentically represent women. She approaches each project thoughtfully, with equal respect for both the user and the material. Using her craft as a medium to create dialogue and explore alternative perspectives.
